Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in West Virginia or a Compact state; pending license accepted for submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, preferably through the American Heart Association
• Experience with Med/Surg and telemetry nursing
• Comfort working with adult patients in an acute care setting
• Charting experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to provide two manager and/or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Candidate must meet travel radius requirements for the assignment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and timely nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry, assess patient condition changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and support care plans according to physician orders
• Manage common Med/Surg nursing skills such as IV therapy, oxygen support, wound care, and hemodynamic observation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and promote positive outcomes
• Document patient information accurately in Cerner
• Participate in unit huddles, patient flow coordination, and safe handoff communication
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced hospital nursing environment
