As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality care. This position offers a dynamic work schedule and the chance to work with a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operating room for all surgical procedures.
- Assist in the care and preparation of surgical patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary interventions during surgery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Provide post-operative care and education to patients and their families.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
- ACLS and NRP certifications required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is strongly preferred.
- Ability to respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Experience in a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to abdominal surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, and robotic surgeries.
