Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Eureka, CA 95501
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Eureka, California
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (variable start times: 06:30-15:00, 08:30-17:00, or 11:00-18:30). Call coverage to be determined based on department needs. 40 hours of orientation provided. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment in a community hospital setting with 8 operating rooms and approximately 30 cases per day
- Work with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Opportunity to utilize a well-rounded OR skillset across general, vascular, robotic, and neuro procedures
- Epic charting system experience required
- One pre-approved time off period available during contract
- May float to sister facilities in the area as needed
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience; at least 1 year required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in general OR procedures including laparoscopic assisted procedures, total joint replacement, hernia repairs, cholecystectomy, colon resection, cystoscopy, colonoscopy, and code response
- Experience with vascular, robotic (Da Vinci Xi), and neuro procedures is a plus
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Clean background check required
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
