Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Operating Room – Amarillo, TX 79106
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Location: Amarillo, Texas
Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:00) with rotating days off. Rotating call required. Contract duration of 13 weeks.
Highlights:
- 15 operating rooms with approximately 36 visits per day
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Epic charting system utilized
- Diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- First-time travelers accepted
- Two pre-approved time off periods available
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Active RN license (state or compact) must be in hand at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with a wide range of surgical procedures including general OR, ortho/spine, laparoscopic procedures, and various specialty surgeries
- Must reside outside 50-mile radius from the area
- Ability to complete core onboarding items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
