Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) specialty position is located in Madison, WI. This role involves providing advanced surgical care within a high-volume, Magnet-designated facility. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting complex procedures such as kidney transplant, robotic surgeries, and gynecological surgeries using Da Vinci Xi systems. The candidate will deliver patient-centered care along with adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, beginning on 09/14/2026 and ending on 02/15/2027, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, two years of recent acute care experience in an inpatient setting within the specialty, and experience with abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, robotic surgery (including Da Vinci Xi), cystectomy, nephrectomy, and other specialized procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, and travel experience, which are optional but advantageous.
  • Certifications: BLS and RN license are required.
  • Additional Information: Must have experience in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery procedures. The role involves working with specialized equipment like urological and gynecological robots, and handling complex surgeries including nephrectomy, cystectomy, and prostatectomy. Strict pass/fail telemetry testing including a cardiac interpretation review course may be required prior to start. Candidate must be able to float as needed within the facility.
