Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nursing position in Calais, Maine, involves providing safe, effective, and patient-family centered care during the perioperative period. The role requires proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and working in the recovery room as needed. It is a full-time night shift position, offering a dynamic environment where effective communication and confidentiality are essential. This position is suitable for nurses with at least one year of medical/surgical or perioperative experience, committed to delivering high-quality care.
Job Details:
- Location: Calais, Maine
- Schedule: Nights, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (may obtain within 6 months of hire)
- At least 1 year of medical/surgical or perioperative experience
- Basic computer skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CNOR certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification for Perioperative Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for all full-time/part-time employees (may obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Additional Information:
- This role involves responsibilities across scrub, circulate, and recovery room functions within the perioperative setting.
