Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Herrin, Illinois. This position involves providing comprehensive perioperative patient care during 10-hour shifts, typically scheduled four days a week. The role includes circulating for heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic procedures, with responsibilities spanning patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Location: Herrin, Illinois
- Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 08/31/2026
- Required Qualifications: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license, current CPR/BLS card, ACLS, and certifications in Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Stepdown, Cardiac Services, Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Imaging, SDS Procedure Room, Electrocardiology, OP Cardiovascular Center, Intermediate Care Unit, Fetal Assessment Monitoring, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, NICU/PAL, Pediatrics, OCN, Nurse Certified in Trauma Care, Infusion Center, Radiation, and Therapy Services Experience minimum of 3 years in operating room settings and circulating for orthopedic, urology, spine, or robotic procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, or robotic surgeries; circulating experience; ability to float to other facilities as needed.
- Additional Information: The position requires call responsibilities including one weeknight and two weekend days each month, with the possibility of additional call depending on departmental needs. The role may involve floating to other facilities if required. The candidate must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a commitment to continuing education.
