Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in a hospital setting. This role involves providing perioperative care for adult patients undergoing various surgical procedures. The position requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and surgical team collaboration.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), two years of experience as an OR circulator with total hip and total knee experience required; spine experience preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
- Skills: Experience with Lobe resection, Lung resection- Thoracotomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Arthroscopy, Closed reduction of fractures, Laminectomy/discectomy, Open reduction of fractures, Orthopedics and spine surgeries, Spinal Fusion, Total joint replacement, Cystoscopy, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, Transurethral resection of the prostate, Fire Safety, Cell saver, Administration of blood and blood products, Infection control, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure, Wound Management.
- Additional Information: Onboarding includes completion of labs within 3-5 days of contract signing. Candidates must provide a full 7-year work history verification, and all compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start date. No separation time required for return staff/travelers.
- Experience: At least 2 years of operating room experience preferred, with a focus on orthopedic procedures and total joint replacements.
