Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in a magnet designation acute care facility, specializing in surgical procedures across various disciplines. The assignment offers a dynamic environment with diverse surgical cases, opportunities to work with advanced equipment such as the Xi Robot and Mazor Robot Spine, and a focus on trauma and complex surgeries. The role is suitable for experienced OR nurses committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 4x10-hour shifts, start times vary between 0645-1715 or 0900-1930, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years of operating room nursing experience, current Alaska registered nurse license in hand, BLS certification required, ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred, experience with Epic charting system required, ability to float within scope to meet facility needs, and willingness to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification, trauma level experience (Level II trauma preferred).
- Additional Information: The assignment duration is from 09/08/2026 to 12/08/2026. Applicants must be willing to work in an interdisciplinary environment supporting trauma, neuro, orthopedics, vascular, gynecology, urology, ENT, and breast surgery units. Candidates should be prepared for potential float to similar units within the hospital, with the possibility of additional clinical modules and self-reported training hours. The facility maintains a strict mile radius requirement, with candidates' perm addresses at least 50 miles from the facility.
