Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a perioperative setting. This role involves providing professional nursing care to patients of all age groupsfrom pediatric to geriatricbefore, during, and after surgical procedures. The nurse will advocate for and care for patients throughout the peri-operative period, which includes admission, intraoperative support, and discharge. The position requires experience in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecological (GYN), and endoscopy procedures and involves regularly scheduled shifts with call coverage.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), experience in perioperative nursing, ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment, and familiarity with orthopedic, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy procedures
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous OR experience in similar clinical settings, certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR), and experience with pediatric and geriatric patient care
- Additional Information: The perioperative nurse is responsible for patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation during the surgical process. This role includes patient advocacy and support throughout the surgical journey, ensuring safe and efficient clinical care in accordance with established SOPs and hospital policies.
