Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a Level II Trauma Center is available for a scheduled assignment starting September 14, 2026. The position involves providing specialized perioperative care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including trauma, uro, ortho, plastics, neuro, gyn, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiac, and bariatric surgeries. The role requires proactive collaboration within the surgical team and adherence to established safety and clinical protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in MD or a Compact state, BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. One year of clinical OR experience preferred; candidates with two years of strong general OR and robotics experience will be considered.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DaVinci robotics, Trauma Level II certified procedures, Epic charting system experience, and prior community hospital or LTAC experience.
- Schedule: Evening shifts from 3:45 PM to 11:15 PM, inclusive of weekend and holiday rotations. On-call responsibility includes 5-6 calls within a 4-week period, with shifts starting from the end of the scheduled shift until 6:30 AM or a 24-hour weekend call.
- Float: Required within the specialty and to sister campuses as needed.
- Additional Information: The position involves working in a fast-paced trauma center environment, supporting interdisciplinary teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response units. Must be comfortable floating and maintaining flexibility to meet department needs.
