Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care in a high-volume surgical environment. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week starting on 08/17/2026.
- Required Qualifications: RN licensure, BLS certification, Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) certification, a minimum of 2 years of current experience as a wound care/ostomy nurse, experience with EPIC electronic medical records, and ostomy care experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous employment within any Johns Hopkins health system facility (staff, PRN, or travel), with at least one full year elapsed before reapplying as a traveler.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing all types of surgical and traumatic wounds, performing patient education in an inpatient, acute care setting, and caring for patients with complex wound and ostomy needs. Candidates must possess expertise in wound assessment, management, dressing changes, wound vacs, and skin condition treatments. No weekends, no call, and no holidays are required.
