Job Summary:
Operating Room RN in Madison, WI. This position involves working in a Level 1 trauma center with a focus on transplant, endovascular, trauma, and emergency cases. The role requires strong experience in neuro, orthopedic, transplant (kidney and liver), vascular, and trauma services, with the ability to float across multiple service lines as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, with work expected on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. No call is required. First week orientation will be from 0640 to 1510, followed by regular scheduling.
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association, at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the relevant specialty, experience in neuro, ortho, transplant, and vascular.
- Certifications: BLS, RN license.
- Skills: Experience with neuro, ortho, transplant, vascular procedures such as kidney and liver transplants, trauma, endovascular, laparoscopic cases, and emergency surgeries.
- Travel Experience: Required.
- Minimum experience: 1 year.
- Pass/Fail Testing: Strict criteria, including a telemetry exam requiring 80% or higher score, two attempts allowed.
- Location: University Hospital, Madison, WI. Candidate must be willing to float as needed, with a local radius of 50 miles from the facility.
- Additional Information: Must have strong experience in multiple service lines including trauma and emergency cases, with a focus on transplant, endovascular, laparoscopic, and trauma procedures. The candidate should be adaptable, willing to learn, and able to circulate and float across various surgical specialties.
