Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) registered nurse position in a short-term acute care facility, beginning on 09/08/2026. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care, focusing on neurosurgical and complex spine procedures. The nurse must be fully competent in all neurosurgical interventions, including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries, and capable of managing a variety of urgent and emergent cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/08/2026 and ending on 12/29/2026.
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of clinical experience as a registered nurse, valid state license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and CNOR certifications, experience with Epic charting system, and competence in all neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and complex spine surgeries.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in trauma level II or neuro/ortho specialty units, and experience with Epic electronic charting system.
- Additional Information: This role involves coverage for weekend shifts, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with on-call responsibilities as assigned. The position requires a nurse to competently circulate a wide variety of urgent/emergent cases, including orthopedic and neuro surgeries, with a focus on neurosurgical procedures. The RN must be adaptable to float between units or nearby sister facilities if needed. Candidate responses must include any prior experience at a healthcare facility in a similar capacity, along with references covering the last three years.
