Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position located in the state of Alabama. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including general surgery, plastics, pain management, ophthalmology, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and vascular procedures. The RN will support a unit with five operating rooms and two endoscopy suites, ensuring efficient patient care and adherence to clinical standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; associate's degree in nursing or higher; at least two years of perioperative experience; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); located within commuting distance of the facility.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations; familiarity with equipment such as RFA Machine, Sentinel Node, Plastics Equipment, Vaser Lipo Suction, Phaco Machine, and others; previous work in a similar surgical specialty.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, including to Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) if needed, but not mandatory.
- Additional Information: The RN will be supporting procedures such as pain injections, eye surgeries, endoscopies, and general surgical operations including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, wound debridement, port placements, plastics, breast implants, AV graphs, fistulograms, and tunneled catheters. Scrubs will be provided; adherence to dress code policy is required.
