Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is based in Golden, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The primary responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic support to patients. This position offers a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with no weekends or call shifts required.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 1900 to 0700, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: ASN degree from an accredited School of Nursing; current RN license in the state of practice; BLS certification (AHA); at least 1 year of nursing experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing; certification appropriate for the unit or service; previous OR experience preferred
- Required Skills & Experience: Nursing care, health counseling, health teaching, therapy and treatment planning, health data assessment
- Additional Skills: Resource utilization, medical function execution, registered nurse experience, patient referral, treatment plan monitoring, clinical documentation
- Education: ASN required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Licensure & Certifications: Current RN license; BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for the unit or service, preferred
