Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) in a healthcare facility located in the area. This position involves providing specialized patient care within the surgical environment, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members. The role requires critical thinking, adherence to regulatory standards, and leadership in preoperative and intraoperative patient management.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift, totaling 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), with a minimum of 2 years of operating room circulator experience and robotics experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgical procedures and familiarity with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
- Responsibilities: Demonstrate critical thinking and leadership skills in planning and providing patient care in the operating room. Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, ensure supply readiness, maintain communication with families, update physician preference cards, perform scrubbing duties, and supervise other personnel involved in patient care.
- Additional Information: The RN will be on call six to eight shifts per month, including weeknights from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and weekend call shifts from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Sunday. The position involves rotating weekends and requires flexibility within the surgical team environment. The facility's EMR system, dress code, parking, and scrub colors are to be observed. This is a contractor replacement role with a tenure from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026.
