Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Kyle, TX This position requires delivering professional nursing care within a busy level II trauma center operating room. The role involves performing scrub and circulating functions during surgical procedures, assisting physicians, and preparing surgical environments to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse credential from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire or job transfer. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire. Certification in Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer. Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedics, trauma, general surgery, gynecology, urology, vascular, cardiovascular operating room, or DaVinci robotics. Experience working with Cerner electronic medical record system.
- Additional Information: The incumbent will be responsible for scrubbing and circulating during various surgical procedures, including trauma, orthopedic, GYN, urology, and vascular cases. Critical thinking and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment are essential. This is a hospital employment role with a high-volume, fast-paced surgical department.
