Summary
WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing comprehensive care for adult patients with various oncology diagnoses, including medical and GYN oncology, classic hematology, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult patients with oncology diagnoses such as GI, GU, Breast, Head and Neck, Neuro, Thoracic, Lymphoma, Leukemia, and GYN oncology.
- Perform special procedures including bone marrow biopsy, port flushes, injections, and blood draws.
- Manage and care for patients with central lines, colostomies, and ileostomies.
- Administer medications, including antiemetics and hormonal therapies.
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care procedures.
- Utilize the Epic charting system for accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing.
- Active NJ or Compact nursing license.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required.
- Proficiency in accessing and managing ports, administering coagulation factors, and handling acute tumor lysis syndrome.
- Strong skills in phlebotomy, IV maintenance, and wound care.
- Experience with patient education and support in oncology settings.
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and PPE usage.
