Oncology Registered Nurse - Infusion Center
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shift: 4x10 Days, 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Center team. This role involves the administration of chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive care treatments to oncology patients, including those with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. The nurse will work in a dynamic setting connected to oncology urgent care for additional patient assessments.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions.
- Provide blood transfusions and assist with lumbar punctures and intrathecal chemotherapy.
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions during treatments.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and side effects.
- Perform vital sign checks and manage patient care throughout treatment sessions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology/infusion experience.
- Active RN license in MD or a Compact License.
- Current certifications in BLS and Chemotherapy (ONS/ONCC) required.
- Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
