Department: Outpatient Medical Hematology/Oncology Clinic
Position Details
- Shift: 5×8-hour Days
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Oncology Experience: Required
- License: WI RN or Compact License
- Certifications: BLS
- Pending License: Accepted
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Local Candidates: Accepted at a lower rate
- Setting: Fast-paced outpatient cancer clinic
Job Responsibilities
- Triage patient phone calls and respond to MyChart messages
- Enter physician orders, including laboratory and diagnostic orders
- Follow up on treatment plans and coordinate patient care
- Coordinate genetic testing and diagnostic procedures
- Provide patient education, including chemotherapy education
- Work closely with Infusion and Radiation Oncology teams
- Collaborate directly with physicians and support APPs
- Track INR patients, including labs and medications
- Follow and monitor patients receiving iron infusions
- Coordinate care throughout the patient's oncology treatment journey
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN License
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Prior oncology experience is required
- Strong communication, triage, care coordination, and patient education skills
