Job Summary:
Telemetry Nursing in a hospital setting. This role involves providing care across multiple units within the facility, including med/surg telemetry areas, emergency department, and mental health units. The position requires flexibility to float to various units and perform cardiac monitoring, interpretation of telemetry strips, and administration of cardiac drips. The schedule includes rotating days, evenings, and nights, with shifts typically lasting 12 hours.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, typically lasting 12 hours each shift.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location, and 2 years of working as a traveler.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals, interpreting strips every 4 hours, TR Band experience, performing cardiac drips, and reading telemetry strips.
  • Additional Information: The nurse must be willing to float between 8 different units within the hospital, including med/surg telemetry, emergency department, and mental health units. The position involves assessing cardiac rhythms, caring for a diverse patient population, and working with electronic medical records (EPIC). The clinician-to-patient ratio varies from 5:1 during days and evenings to 6:1 during nights. The hospital has a bed count of 371, with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds.
