Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry specialty is located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This role involves providing nursing care on the stepdown and telemetry units, with a focus on cardiac patient care and arrhythmia management. The nurse will work dayshift hours, supporting the general unit population with minimal supervision to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Dayshift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry or stepdown units; experience with cardiac drip management; proficiency in Epic electronic medical record system; basic arrhythmia interpretation; pass the NIHSS examination with an 85% score annually
- Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience with Basic Arrhythmia exam; experience working with Epic electronic medical records; NIHSS certification with a passing score
- Additional Information: The professional may be scheduled to float to COVID units as needed. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. The role involves providing competent nursing care on the telemetry unit, including patient assessments, monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare team members to meet patient needs.
