Requirements & Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current RN license required. A copy of the driver's license is required at submittal to verify the 50-mile radius rule.
  • Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Orientation Assessment: Must pass an open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation with a score of 90% or higher (up to 2 attempts with resources provided; failure results in contract termination).

Compliance & Facility Details

  • Radius & Employment Rule: 50-mile radius rule applies. Candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity).
  • RTO Policy: RTO must be requested upfront (maximum of 7 days or less per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved post-submission.
  • Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails are strictly prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove them leads to immediate contract termination.
  • Unit Overview: 35-bed fast-paced unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5. Common conditions include cardiac, nephrology, stroke, DM, and continuous EEG monitoring. Titratable drips include Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.
