Shift & Position Details

- Unit Details: 36–48 beds (mixed unit: 90% Med/Surg, 10% Intermediate Care)

Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted if they have >1 year of experience and MUST have Epic experience)
- Distance Requirement: Travelers must live at least 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Licensure: South Dakota Board of Nursing RN license (or compact)
Patient Ratios & Care Types
- Long Length of Stay (MedSurg/No Tele): 1:5 to 1:6
- Med Surg / Telemetry (No IMC drips): 1:5
- Intermediate Care: 1:4
- Common Drips & Titration: Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and occasional esmolol or other beta-blockers/antihypertensives
