Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Skilled Nursing for a travel nursing job in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania.

• Provide direct nursing care to residents based on individualized care plans.
• Assess residents' physical and emotional condition and identify changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment.
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to the physician and appropriate members of the care team.
• Document assessments, care provided, medications, treatments, and resident responses accurately and timely.
• Assist with development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.
• Coordinate care with CNAs, physicians, rehabilitation staff, social services, dietary staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding medications, treatments, and care needs.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Maintain infection-control and safety standards.
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality-assurance and performance-improvement activities.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, and rights.
• Supervise and provide direction to nursing assistants and other assigned staff as appropriate.
• Report accidents, injuries, incidents, and changes in condition according to facility policy.

Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania or Compact RN license Current CPR/BLS certification Previous nursing or long-term-care experience preferred. Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Ability to maintain accurate and confidential medical records. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond appropriately to changing resident needs.
