Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a dedicated inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital. This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with diagnoses such as spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke, amputations, and neurological conditions. The nurse will deliver intensive, patient-focused rehabilitation services to support recovery and maximize patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; minimum of 6 months of experience in rehabilitation or inpatient setting; at least 2 years of nursing experience; comfortable working with adult patient population (18+); ability to handle complex medical cases including trachs, wounds, and isolation patients.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with spinal cord injuries, stroke, wounds, and neurological patients.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 52-bed facility with all private rooms and a current census of 35 patients. Patient ratios are 1:5. The environment involves care for patients with traumatic injuries and neurological conditions. Scrub color is navy blue for RNs but is not mandatory. Candidates should arrive by 7:30 AM and should wear closed-toed shoes with short nails (no acrylic). Parking available free at the back of the facility; avoid costly parking in the facility lot.
