Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nursing in Fort Worth, TX. This inpatient rehabilitation unit provides comprehensive care for adult patients, focusing on neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic recovery. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care, documentation, and patient mobilization, based on a Vascular and Medical-Surgical specialty.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS certification, willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills, willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation, good attention to detail, and at least 1 year of clinical experience in medical-surgical, step-down critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing. Experience with neurological, cardiac, or orthopedic patient populations is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult patients; inpatient acute rehabilitation or long-term acute care nursing.
- Procedures performed on unit: Indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes as ordered, surgical drain removal, suture/staple removal, and other medical-surgical nursing procedures.
- Dress Code: Royal Blue tops and pants in good condition; scrub caps are logo-free; nails must be clean and natural, hair neat with no extreme styles or colors; tattoos covered when possible; no visible piercings other than ears.
- Unit Guidelines/Policies: Floats to medical-surgical units in rotation; attendance policies align with organization standards.
