Position Title: Psychiatric RN
Location: Elmira Psychiatric Center, 100 Washington Street Elmira NY 14901
Shift: 5 days week, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
Job Duties: Medication Administration, Physical & Mental Health Assessment, shift oversight of mental health therapy aides, Evaluation of therapeutic milieu, patient groups, client documentation, Shift Charge, Orientation of new staff, deescalation/restraints prn
Minimum requirements, including licenses and certifications: Valid RN license in New York, Drivers license, AHA BLS CPR certification, NYS Mandated Reporter Training
Schedule and anticipate length of assignment: 40 hours a week per position. Days variable, weekend work required. Primarily evening shift, but other shifts may be needed. Initial term 6 months, up to 2 years.
Background check requirements: NYS child abuse, SEL , criminal background check
Vaccination requirements: MMR, PPD, influenza during active season
OMH required training (This training will be provided by OMH): Verbal de-escalation and restraint training TRUST, standardized onboarding
