- Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Shift Duration: 8-hour evenings
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Schedule: Every other weekend rotation; holiday rotation expected; no call
- Orientation: First week on days, followed by scheduled shifts
- Charting System: Cerner electronic medical record (EMR)

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Maine
- Current BLS certification required
- At least 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience required
- Pediatric behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- Experience with de-escalation techniques and physical restraints
- Comfortable administering medication passes and documenting patient care accurately
- Ability to facilitate or support group therapy activities
- Willingness to float between pediatric and adult psychiatric units as needed
- Open to working in a secure inpatient behavioral health environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric and adult psychiatric patients
- Support patients admitted voluntarily or involuntarily in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Perform medication administration, patient assessments, and routine nursing interventions
- Use strong de-escalation skills to help manage challenging patient behaviors
- Assist with physical restraints when clinically necessary and appropriate
- Participate in group-based therapeutic activities and patient engagement
- Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with psych techs, providers, and multidisciplinary support staff
- Float between units as needed to support patient care across the facility
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and quality care
