- 4 Psych RNs – Evenings: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM | 5x8s
Assignment Details
- 13-week contract
- Minimum 2 years of Psych RN experience required
- Orientation: 4 weeks on the 1st shift
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a psychiatric facility and managing the milieu.
Responsibilities
RNs will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Physical, psychiatric, and admission assessments
- Medication administration
- Processing physician orders
- Monitoring vital signs and blood glucose
- Treatments and pain assessments
- Dressing changes and venipuncture
- Patient care documentation using the EHR
- Verbal and written communication of clinical findings
- Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment
- Responding appropriately to safety emergencies, behavioral incidents, threats, assaults, and patient elopement situations
Important Requirement
11:00 PM–7:00 AM nurses work as the only RN on the unit without a supervisor present. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in this environment.
