Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Preoperative unit will work with patients undergoing various surgical procedures, focusing on pre-operative assessments, patient education, and discharge planning. Strong IV skills and experience with EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and manage patient readiness for surgery.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Administer IVs and manage medication administration.
• Coordinate with surgical teams and ensure seamless patient throughput.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Strong IV skills with experience in discharge and patient education.
• Preferred experience in pediatric, Phase 1, and PACU settings.
