Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) for a role in the outpatient surgery center located in Two Harbors, Minnesota. This position involves work during daytime hours, focusing on preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care within a critical access hospital setting that features two operating rooms and one procedure room. The RN will be responsible for supporting a variety of case types, including endoscopy, eye procedures, pain management, general surgery, and urology cases, ensuring quality care and adherence to clinical standards.

Job Details:

  • Location: Two Harbors, Minnesota, 325 11th Ave, zip code 55616
  • Shift Schedule: 8-hour daytime shifts, with shifts starting at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM, and ending between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Minnesota RN license are required
  • Education: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse in a perioperative setting
  • Additional Qualifications: Experience with intraoperative, preoperative, or postoperative care is preferred; EPIC charting experience required
  • Schedule Details: The position requires a minimum of 32 hours per week; probationary hours during orientation week are not guaranteed; candidate must be available for interview days from Monday to Friday.
  • Responsibilities: Assist with endoscopy, eye, pain management, general, and urology cases; support patient flow through pre-op, intra-op, and post-op phases; ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
  • Other Notes: The role may involve low census periods with the possibility of being placed on call, with a minimum call back requirement of 2 hours. Scrub attire is provided.
