Job Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) specialty position is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment providing critical care to neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex patient needs within a fast-paced unit.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid California license. BLS (American Heart Association Basic Life Support) certification required. A minimum of 3 years of pediatric critical care experience is necessary. Additional certifications may include ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Additional Information:
- Travel experience is not required but is acceptable.
- Willingness to work in a floating capacity, with potential reassignment to different departments within a 75+ mile radius if necessary.
- Orientation hours are 24, with modules completed pre-start and annually.
- The position responds to the needs of critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients, requiring proficiency in advanced monitoring and specialized procedures.
