Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) registered nurse (RN) position available in the area. This assignment involves working overnight shifts at a dedicated pediatric ICU within a general hospital setting. The role provides an opportunity to deliver specialized care to critically ill children in a fast-paced teaching hospital environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week from 09/14/2026 to 12/14/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); education requirements include current licensure as an RN; experience needed is at least 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience and prior experience in a teaching hospital setting are highly desirable.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The unit operates as a Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU with 15 beds, staffing 38 team members, including intensivists, RNs, RTs, and support staff. Typical procedures involve IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements. The unit utilizes Meditech / CPN electronic medical records system.
