Job Summary:
Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse specializing in recovery room pediatrics at a healthcare facility. This position involves caring for pediatric patients in the post-operative setting, ensuring their stability and safety through comprehensive recovery protocols. The role may require floating to other similar facilities within the same network.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour daily shifts, 40 hours per week, starting on 09/22/2026 and ending on 12/22/2026
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), at least 2 years of experience in pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Pre-Operative (Pre-Op) care, and trauma-related nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience, experience with pediatric intensive care units or Emergency Departments, proficiency with Epic charting system, and prior work in trauma centers.
- Additional Information:
- Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius.
- Experience with patient discharge instructions, emergency medications, pediatric assessments, medication reconciliation, and pediatric-specific procedures.
- Certification in BLS and PALS required; other certifications may enhance candidacy.
- Start date flexible for travelers with early clearance, with orientation scheduled the Monday before the start date.
- Valid California RN license and BSN required.
- Prior employment history at other university-affiliated healthcare facilities is necessary for rehire consideration.
- References from most recent employers must be provided upon submittal.
