Job Summary:
Operating Room Pediatric Specialist in Oakland, California. This role involves supporting pediatric surgical procedures within a multidisciplinary environment. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, specialized surgical setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), minimum of 3 years of pediatric operating room (OR) experience or equivalent pediatric surgical experience, proficiency in Epic charting system
- Preferred Qualifications: Scrub experience, cardiac circulating experience, ambulatory surgery experience, CNOR certification, additional pediatric surgical skills such as neonatal, ENT, orthopedics, and trauma surgeries
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other UCSF campuses if needed
- Additional Information:
- Start date: 09/22/2026
- Travel pairs are permitted but generally not on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
- Must complete required modules prior to start, including non-billable and billable hours based on specialty
- Staff will support a variety of pediatric surgical procedures, including neonates, infants, adolescents, and children
- Candidate must have experience with pediatric patient diagnoses and operating room protocols
