• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week
• Orientation: 60 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Time Off: Up to 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Previous NICU experience required; ability to care for pediatric patients across multiple acuity levels
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS required
• Infant-Driven Feeding certification required, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Virginia RN license may be pending at time of submission, but must be active before start
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Must be comfortable floating within scope of practice
• Ability to work days and adapt to changing unit needs; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, and acute care patients across multiple units
• Float as needed to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D or Mother/Baby
• Support patients ranging from neonates to adolescents with varying levels of acuity
• Monitor and manage complex pediatric conditions, including respiratory distress, congenital conditions, post-surgical care, and critical illness
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately, including blood products and specialized interventions as indicated
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, rehabilitation services, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established float pool policies
• Deliver family-centered care with compassion, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment
