• Schedule: Day shift with weekend coverage; floating required across multiple pediatric units

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Virginia RN license pending may be considered
• Minimum 2 years of PICU nursing experience required
• Prior NICU experience and comfort caring for pediatric patients required
• Epic EHR experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Infant-Driven Feeding Certificate required; candidates may submit with completion pending if needed
• Ability to float within scope to PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Availability for every other weekend and 2 of 3 winter holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents across multiple units
• Support critically ill patients requiring ventilator support, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive infusions, and advanced respiratory therapies
• Deliver safe, family-centered care in PICU, NICU, Acute Pediatrics, and Pediatric ED settings
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and care for high-risk deliveries when floated
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changing patient conditions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit-specific protocols, float policies, and patient safety standards
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and provide reliable clinical support wherever patient need is greatest
