Job Summary:
Pediatric Psychology (PEDS PSY) in an inpatient setting at a medical campus location. This registered nurse position involves providing psychiatric emergency care for pediatric patients during overnight (nights) shifts, with a focus on acute behavioral health needs. The assignment is scheduled for 13 weeks, beginning on 09/22/2026 and ending on 12/26/2026, requiring flexibility to work up to potentially every weekend.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BSN, active RN license, minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care, behavioral health, or medically complex settings; pediatric psychiatric emergency experience; prior clinical experience with eating disorder populations (e.g., anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID) in inpatient, residential, or partial-hospitalization settings; competency with NG tube placement, monitoring, and maintenance; background in medical, med-surg, or acute care including vital sign monitoring and medical stabilization; trauma-informed, patient-centered care skills; interdisciplinary collaboration; effective communication skills; flexibility and adaptability; experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation
- Additional Information: No restricted time off within the first two weeks of assignment; medical and religious exemption requests for seasonal influenza vaccination allowed; client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas within their clinical competence and within thirty-five (35) miles of the original assignment location
