Job Summary:
Pediatric Psychology (PEDS PSYCH) professional opportunity in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing mental health services to adolescent patients within a structured unit, primarily focusing on patients aged approximately 14 to 18 years with various psychological needs. The position requires clinical expertise in pediatric psychology and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The position will start on 09/14/2026 and end on 12/12/2026.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training obtained on site
- Experience working with adolescent patient populations (minimum six months preferred)
- Valid license to practice in the relevant discipline
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in pediatric psychiatric settings
- Strong de-escalation skills and experience managing non-violent patient behaviors
- Ability to perform IM injections and recognize escalating agitation signals
- Additional Information:
- Candidates should be comfortable floating across various age groups within the facility based on operational needs and schedule flexibility.
- Orientation includes three 12-hour shifts of unit-specific introduction.
- Weekend rotations every third week are required.
- No on-call duties are scheduled.
- Holiday schedule based on facility needs.
- Scrub color: Galaxy Blue.
