Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must have at least 1 year of experience in pediatric psychology or related fields; current licensure; valid state license; experience working with children and adolescents; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a community hospital setting; proficiency with electronic charting systems.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to provide coverage across multiple units within the facility based on staffing needs.
  • Additional Information:
    • The role involves working with pediatric and adolescent patients typically aged 6-17 years old, who are medically stable but experiencing acute crisis.
    • Patients are primarily admitted for behavioral health, including suicidal ideation and behavioral dysregulation.
    • Responsibilities include managing clinical protocols, providing psychoeducation, and implementing seclusion protocols when necessary.
    • Candidates are expected to have experience with specific behavioral health certifications, including BLS.
    • The assignment is scheduled to start on 09/14/2026 at a facility located at 1500 Division Street, Oregon City, OR 97045.
    • The candidate must have a vehicle for travel between units or facilities as needed, and must be flexible to float within the approved system.
    • The position includes working in a short-term acute care facility with a census of approximately 18-20 pediatric and adolescent patients daily.
