Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing position located in a hospital setting. This role involves providing patient care during night shifts, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality outcomes. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care, coordinate discharge planning, and promote patient advocacy.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, totaling 48 hours per week. All night shifts. Every other weekend. Rotating holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a compact state, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and must be able to work in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience in an acute care / inpatient hospital environment.
- Additional Information: Must complete annual competency assessments per organizational policies. Some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to performing clinical care, with training and certification opportunities provided.
