Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
- First-time travelers accepted with:
- At least 2 years of total RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
Required Clinical Skills
Candidates must be proficient in:
- Reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms
- Caring for patients on BiPAP
- Caring for patients on High-Flow Oxygen
- Managing cardiac patients
- Trach care
- Chest tube management
- TR Band management
- Post-Cath Lab patient care
- Central line maintenance
Must Be Comfortable Managing Titratable Drips
- Diltiazem
- Amiodarone
- Heparin
- Digoxin
- Bumex
- Lasix

- Chest Pain
- PCI pre/post care
- High-volume Post-Cath Lab patients
- Stent placement recovery
- Fresh Cath patients requiring 15-minute assessments
- No arterial lines
Oncology
- Leukemia
- Neutropenia
- Other oncology diagnoses
- Chemotherapy administration is NOT required unless specifically requested
Charting System
- Epic
Floating
- Required within scope to other units throughout the hospital
Weekend Requirement
- Minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
- For night shift, weekends are Friday and Saturday nights
- Sunday night is not considered a weekend shift
