This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a 23-bed unit that supports patients requiring telemetry and step-down services. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with experienced staff and advanced monitoring equipment.
Job Details
- Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Active nursing license, 2 years of hospital experience, experience in Progressive Care Unit or similar setting, in-depth knowledge of telemetry, step-down skills, neuro and trauma experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro experience, trauma experience, Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NHISS) certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Floats: All inpatient units including ICU and Emergency Department.
- Typical Procedures: Chest tubes, EEGs
- Personality Fit: Team-oriented
- Additional Information: The unit supports bedside monitors, end-tidal oxygen monitoring, high flow oxygen, chronic vents, and subdural drains. The environment emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and clinical excellence. The dress code is scrubs with no specific color. Weekend shifts are every other weekend, with no on-call requirement.
