Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience required
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring preferred
• Ability to care for patients requiring titratable cardiac drips preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Charge nurse and/or precepting experience preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Progressive Care and intermediate care patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond quickly to deterioration
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry-based patient needs
• Administer medications safely and accurately, including cardiac-related therapies
• Care for patients with complex needs such as CHF, COPD, sepsis, STEMI, GI bleeds, and respiratory failure
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and family communication
• Float to med/surg and telemetry units as needed
• Maintain a patient-centered approach while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
