Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, implementing care, and ensuring safety and patient education throughout their stay.
Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Location: Rochelle Park, New Jersey
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (if applicable); minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience; one (1) year of ICU experience (highly desired); valid nursing license in the state of New Jersey
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient assessments, care planning, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration; strong communication and leadership skills
- Responsibilities include performing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, facilitating patient education, documenting all clinical activities accurately, and participating in discharge planning and team conferences. The RN will supervise ancillary nursing personnel, support patient safety initiatives, and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.
- The role requires active participation in team building activities and continuous professional development. The RN will assume charge responsibilities as needed, following successful orientation.
