Job Summary:
Progressive Care Nurse (PCU) Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager or Director, the Clinical Nurse in this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care within a hospital setting. The position involves administering patient care under the guidance of a physician, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes during night shift hours. The assignment includes working every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, totaling 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or a compact state by the start of the assignment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience working as a registered nurse in an acute care or inpatient hospital setting. Certifications: NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale), required; BLS (Basic Life Support), required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), required.
- Additional Information: The Clinical Nurse will evaluate patient needs, develop and update care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to prioritize patient safety, education, and discharge planning. They will also ensure competency in all required skills, adhering to hospital policies and infection control standards.
