Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves delivering specialized patient care within a 38-bed medical environment, focusing on cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and psychiatric diagnoses. The unit emphasizes a patient-centered approach, with staffing ratios of 1:5 on day shifts and 1:6 on night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Details:
- Job Title: Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Maryland State RN license OR ability to obtain licensure, 1+ year of experience in telemetry or medical-surgical units, IV skills, previous employment experience in a cardiac or medical unit
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, or psychiatric patient populations
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information:
- Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins health system facility must be noted in the work history and confirmed prior to offer.
- Candidate must have worked at least one full year past employment to qualify as a traveler if previously employed at Johns Hopkins facilities.
- Position begins on 08/17/2026.
