Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will manage a patient population with a variety of conditions including cardiac, respiratory, and chronic issues, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous lines.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to healthcare team.
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation and manage cardiac drips.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS certifications required for PCU/Tele RN.
• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; RN license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, drip titration, and emergency response skills.
• Proficient in communication, teamwork, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
